fellow lovers.
i know this might seem ridiculous, but does anyone here have experience fixing/changing switches on one of these pds 8000 echoplus 'boxes', or any older style digitech double pedal delays (i think they all had a similar switch scene)....my on/bypass switch is getting more finicky by the hour!
my tech is wonderful at amps, tape decks/tape delays, you name it....but these suckers are oddball!!! he's a studio guy....ex electric ladyland....and i need this to get done right AND quick cause i use it constantly....
any info would be VERY helpful....directing me to a great site, sharing YOUR experiences, or just plotting out the best way to go about changing the switch!!
thanks in advance for your fuzzlove of delay(s)....be blessed.

Re: HELP....pds8000 echoplus!!!!
I honestly don't know much about the internals (even though I use one all the time) so I wouldnt know how to help well.
I dont think it's a difficult fix, but if it's using the switches I think it';s using, they're tiny. like watch-battery sized. you can't really open those up to clean contacts. it's an easy fix if you already have a replacement switch on hand, but if yo udon't, I'm not sure.
quickest temporary solution would be to put it in a bypass looper. keep it on at all times so that you don't wear it out prematurely.

Try posting in the DIY forum, you might have better luck there.

Think I might have found some switches that work...I posted some replies in the DIY forum, hope it helps! Also, yeah, leaving it on and using a bypass box is an easy quick fix if you happen to have a bypass box on hand.

The toruble there is that there are two switches on those that do different things, not just on/off.ifeellikeatourist wrote:Think I might have found some switches that work...I posted some replies in the DIY forum, hope it helps!
