Huge thank you to our old pal Aen who totally knocked it out of the park with my gift! I didn't receive it until the 23rd because of some bullshit local post office drama but let the record show that he got it out super early and it should have been here like at least a week before that.
It contained:
-Not one but two pedals!!! A Devi Brown/LP and an ultraswag custom etched Eau Claire Thunder!!
-An amazing art print of a zombie cow!
-Wisconsin cheese Christmas ornament!
-a split 7" from the Ronald Raygun and the New Apocalypse Bass Orchestra which roxxx!
-cookies!!! (Not pictured because they were swiftly devoured within 5 minutes of opening)

And then the crow on the ECT was actually drawn by my pal SMO who has worked on some Adult Swim shows, and etched by our other old pal Acid Splash Adam.

Happy New Year and Merry Riffmas to me!

I was doing plenty of whining and crying about wanting my gift so I could shake off the Christmas blues (family is a racket) and Neon and I had been emailing back and forth about random shit since around the time I had mailed kbit's stuff out.

At some point in time Neon let me in on the hint that my gift was a little behind schedule because my Satan had been super busy. He later hinted that it was one of our many ILF builders. At that stage I wasn't quite sure who it was but was trying to narrow down who was left. I know I could count out Ian, culturejam, mtl.assembly scott, dr. ryantist, and our old pal aen's wife (louise, right?). that was just from memory. i wasn't about to dig through the thread and look at everybody's awesome ass gifts only to try to figure out who would be sending me a package.

eventually somebody posted their gift from our old pal aen and I scratched him off the list. then I got the tracking number so i could monitor santa's journey from philly to grand rapids and I knew I was in for some small/big treat.

the doorbell rang while I was still in my undies this morning so my wife accepted the package from the postman (none other than kevin costner). not wanting to seem like an overly excited tween in front of my wife (I am 30, after all) I maintained a cool and calm demeanor while preparing my breakfast (coffee, over easy eggs on toast with cheddar cheese). finally i plunked down (with a steak knife because who knows where the box cutter is) to open my surprise.

And suddenly... BLAMMO.



The first box I opened was the box adorned with the love letter. Brian apologized for the delay, which suddenly meant nothing in the light of the EQD Afterneath! I couldn't believe it. I don't know how easy I was to stalk for Brian but he knocked it out of the park. There are but a few things in life I truly love (that aren't my wife). Coffee, my dog, and gear. Brian delivered on all accounts.

Superbly healthy grain-free dog treats for the pooch (who just so happens to love sweet potatoes so... nailed it). Exciting new coffee. EQD Afterneath. SS/BS BUZZZ. SS/BS Tee. Promises of futurue pizza/beer hangouts next time Bri rolls through Michigan or I roll through Philly. Cannot wait.

Got dang, y'all. Feeling 'blessed' by the ilf fam.
