I only roll the dice on a whim, and because the rest of my bases are long, long covered.
Been burned occasionally but still ahead in the grand scheme (and Paypal's buyer protection on the bay is so retarded I am just not worried about it)

I think Mooer pedals are pretty dependable, both in terms of the quality of the effects and the reliability of the units. They're not actually particularly cheap when compared to some EHX effects and they're far less innovative but they may have better quality control.KaosCill8r wrote:Clockworker wrote: Yeah I'm thinking all them circuits are all made in the same sweatshop in China, then housed in whatever companies enclosure they need to make up orders for.![]()
A lot of those cheap pedals are a false economy as far as I'm concerned. Been burned. Never again.

Yeah, I only have a couple (the Lo-Fi we're talking about and an OCD clone) and the quality is fine. I bought these when I thought that mini pedals were a great way to get a small and efficient setup but I've actually changed my mind a bit about that because I like to tweak knobs and the tiny ones are not always perfect for that...

Arrived today, slow boat from China indeed. Within the realm of the claimed shipping time, but only barely.
Solid as any of the MIC mini-pedals. Mini-knobs for mix and bit have a solid center detent and seem functional enough, even if tiny as hell. Modes function as you'd think (HP/LP/no filter), bit knob is fairly do-nothing (interacts with the big crush one more than anything). Goes from barely there ring mod to splat, handles high signal load.
Hit it with a couple of my obscenely loud boost options, didn't skip a beat or get more noisy. Bypass doesn't color in any significant way if at all.
It crushes the bits in a nasty, pleasing way, even if it doesn't have 9000 sounds on tap, but it *is* a bit crusher and for $34...seems decent enough.
Will run the keytar through it later to see what it does to some of that silliness as well.
Probably will have some sort of audio demo out soon enoughish.

Played with it for a couple hours today.
It'd be nice to have a level control for the output, but that's fixable with hitting it with a boost (I have enough) - it gets a bit quieter than the source signal at extreme settings, and can use a boost.
That said, does everything I expected.
Sound sample (embedded player trashed, thanks Soundcloud):

Sounds like it's something I may find useful and the flagrant violation of copyright law also amuses me.
