Gear Idea I Had In A Dream
I had a dream a few weeks ago and I can't stop thinking about it. In the dream, I was at the record store, shopping for vinyl. On a rack near the pedals were a bunch of circuit boards with labels indicating what artist or record was responsible for them. The cards plugged into a couple of different triggering devices, I recall a sampler style unit, and you could play sounds, samples, and loops from the album. I doubt it would be feasible, but it was really neat and reminded me of one of my favorite music toys, the Gristleism and Buddha Machine. Hmmm...

It's not exactly the same but Tristan Perich (NY musician/artist, does some solo stuff and is also part of Loud Objects) did something similar with his 1-bit music record (a clear CD case with headphones output and a small circuit inside that produced the music)...
