Your zero might be the first and only one with the switch...haven't seen any others.

I strongy suggest you check out the newest builder to join ILF...blackout effectors. In particular the musket. A beefed up muff with all the controls it should have (including a mid control knob).

I have a Zero with a mids switch.

Yeah, Marc started offering it as an option after he built mine. I highly recommend that anyone who wants to get on the list for a zero request this option! The zero is a totally sick pedal. I almost wish I had the switch option on my mayo, but I got mine before switches were "in."

4-knob hoof has a mids knob.
I also have a Creepy Fingers triangle clone with separate bass and treble controls so you can set the scoop (or not) to your liking.
Good deals done with all these guys

He's still making them, just not regularly enough to have them listed on the website. Send him an email, he'll get you on the list.

a couple of important questions before i really spend money on another pedal.

does a hot pickup make a the Big Muff compress too much when engaged? even if i have the sustain down?
it's not like farting hot sound but it's super compressed with all noise kicking in while a single note sustain.
it's not as bad with a tele or strat but it gets really bad with the humbuckers on my Gibson Nighthawk.

i also suspect that i might have blown something up in the Muff Pi, coz i did send a line signal to the big muff and re-amp it to the amp for my recording. does this kill? tell me not...

for the pedals that i checked out.

mayo sounds pretty nice.
zero does sound a bit like the Subdecay F.Bomb that i have.
the solo fuzz tone on both pedals do carry quite a bit of character in a good way.

... but man, i don't do solo at all, i make noise as my guitar solo....

i am making my mind up now, Dwarfraft's ECT is still my 1st choice...
umm....wait ... it means i may have to sell a guitar by the end of next month to clear some bills...

ECT is a good choice if you really want to make some noize!
