Favorite album closing tracks

Post by wdinc01 »

I was listening to a song today and thought about how it might be my favorite closer to an album. Then I tried to pick a top three, decided that was too hard, and made it a top five.

So what is everyone's top five favorite album closing tracks?

In no order, here's mine:

1. Antarctic - Antarctic - This Product Forbids the Swallow - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnTkRAUtLL0
2. The Fall of Troy - The Fall of Troy - What Sound Does a Mastodon Make? - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iaa9hfu4loU
3. The Front Bottoms - Back On Top - Plastic Flowers (the song that made me think to make this topic) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjCHs2X_pUI
4. Look Mexico - This Is Animal Music - I Like Being A Millionaire. You Will Too, Believe Me. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sp6jqbhpoY
5. Pink Floyd - The Final Cut - Two Suns in the Sunset - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wzvp-5b6r74

I mean if I was going to be really annoying I'd say that Big A Little A qualifies since it's the B side of a single, but.

One of my favorite tracks...

But you want to go that route look in the grind and fastcore scenes...7" records are albums haha...

Or any Unholy Grave song...who knows which one it is or where it is on a release? haha (Unholy Grave is ok in short bursts...like less than a 7")

5 random favorites.

Yellow Swans - Going Places

A Place a to Bury Strangers - I Lived My Life in the Shadow of Your Heart (that drone drop is the fucking best)

Isis - Gentle Time (oh there's an outro track? FUCK YOU)

Bon Iver - re:stacks or Woods (I can't choose between those two)

The Mars Volta - Take the Veil Cerpin Taxt

Radiohead - Videotape would have been up there if the album ended with the solo piano version. That album arrangement pales in comparison, so hard.

That's hard. I haven't heard the demo version in forever and didn't hear it until after I heard the EP version...
