yeah i still need to get it to stop displaying god is great or whatever the previous owner programmed in  . i held the middle stomp and the push knob down when i powered it up yesterday and that seemed to reset it to factory, but today when i powered it on it was back to his presets and displaying holy messages :idk: maybe default just displays a shout out to the lord almighty?? sure is a TON of fun though :!!!:

and...here is a comparison of the basic sound and delay/feedback settings between the Death by Audio Echo Dream 2 and the Ghost Delay. Modulation is dialed out on the Echo Dream 2, although I don't believe you can TOTALLY get rid of it and its just real subtle but dunno...and the Ghost Delay i'm just using one delay because I can't tell a difference between the three. Got the mix set at 2 on the Ghost Delay cause that seems to be the most similar to the Echo Dream 2 mix. Pretty obvious differences between delay time settings and overall max delay time, echo dream 2 is brighter overall with more pronounced repeats. ED2 also gets dirtier the higher the delay time is set. I'm wondering if the modulation circuit has something to do with that? Dunno, somebody asked to hear these two compared so I hope this is helpful

I'm still not sure how you took a perfectly good TGP pedal and got it to sound like that.

yeah its decidedly digital sounding and pretty harsh in a really good way i think, LOTS of tweaking available. thats a barn3 aux switch, havn't done so yet but apparently you can assign whatever you want to the individual stomps...like bank up/down, freeze of modulation, etc. There is a third separate little stomp also with the idea being it will be your tap temp stomp, and you can put it where ever you want...and slave multiple eventide pedals to that one stomp, i think? still need to read the manual and/or watch some demos cause i'm pretty clueless regarding what all this unit can do.

yeah i wasn't expecting the spillover when in bypass that you can dial in to just keep on going and going to play over etc. havn't spent too much time with it yet, or even dug into editing etc beyond what's accessible from how the knobs are set up as is, and i'm still finding all sorts of interesting sounds. really happy with this and the timeline along with both companies' reverb pedals too. stacking all four together is a LOT of fun haha. be sure to post some clips :omg:

that reminds me....i'm pretty sure by now most people that aren't going to be interested in my type demo recognize the handle and know better and just ignore them...but i'm expecting some negative comments from eventide fans who happen across these two demos haha.

I expect the same with my Space glitch presets demo. Although less TGP, it's still a 'pretty' pedal.

That Eventide delay sounds pretty damn cool. Gotta check the ED2/Ghost demo in the morning. :snax:

It's not bad at all. One of my favorite amps is my old Ampeg Gemini I, the gvt15 doesn't sound identical or anything but it can get 15/7.5 tube watts loud while staying clean. That was my motivation, i wanted a low watter that would be a good pedal platform for guitar, and all things considered it delivers. It has a baxadall tone stack, making it possible to dial in some character that it might be lacking otherwise? It has an f/x loop which is really nice to have, and its got multiple taps. Really nice sounding reverb that you can hear in those demos, btw its also eq'd flat in those demos and pretty sure the gain is all the way down. I don't use its own dirt but it doesn't sound terrible or anything..just nothing I would probably ever use. Usually I like to set up a tube amp on the verge of breakup, it sounds OK like that but I'm keeping this one as clean as possible and getting all my dirt from pedals. Depending on the cab I'm using it with I get a pretty different presentation, so I think that's a good sign and confirms to me that its a pretty neutral sounding amp without much character of its own. Havn't had it long enough to get around to rolling tubes in it yet, so I don't know how well the circuit responds to different flavors of NOS tubes. ummmmm, its worked pretty well with guitar into guitar cabs, baritone and bass VI into guitar and bass cabs, but havn't tried any synth gear or any bass guitar with it..but don't have any reason to think there would be a problem.

Nice comparison. I liked hearing the differences in self oscillation.

Thanks  They really are rather different performing/sounding delays.

Hey hey, so I was messing around today and this happened. Dying battery in a Death by Audio Reverberation Machine turned out to be a pretty good sounding fuzz tone, reverb doesn't seem to be working or else its quite subtle and no change with the knob settings..all the other controls didn't affect the sound other than the volume control. Think i'm starting to get better sounding results too now that I've stopped "pegging the meters" as if I were recording to tape haha. Old habits...

yeah i kinda like that fuzzy tone, and even though the reverb is gone? it still seems to have some of that character of the two modes with the wavering waves to decay etc. not sure if i'd get the same results using the voltage sag on my power supply? going to try that out now that i think of it. i've always uploaded the videos from my iphone and i really can't be bothered to type stuff out on it haha, dont do text messages for the same reason :idk: now that i'm uploading from my laptop which is taking forever i've got time and patience to actually type in some description. also i'm VERY lazy
