AP > Marginal Man. Shit. Why was it always so hard to find Artificial Peace's discography?

I completely agree with you. I like marginal man, but artificial peace kick so much ass. Their discography is hard to find. After I heard their songs on Flex Your Head, I looked for so long for more of their stuff. I did find a record of a split they did with second wind. Their side is awesome, and I just ignore the second wind side.

I know the Second Wind side of that split well. It's actually pretty good. Basically Minor Threat 2.0 seeing as it was Mitch the roadie and Steve Hansgen's band. I just looked up the AP side, looks like their discography... :idk:

I didn't realize it was everything haha. And it took me a long time to find it. And the second wind side is ok, but it is minor threat lite. So I just listen to minor threat.

Totally. It's perfect to listen to after the Minor Threat discography and being like "yeah, good thing it ended."

Haha well played. At least you said relatively. Even the Minor Threat you don't like is better than most.

As someone who spent way too long shitting around in the hardcore scene, booking and running and playing shows, and getting constantly fucked over, i am glad i'm not the only one who feels this way. For every good hardcore band there are about 18 million terrible ones who i had to "run sound" for. That said, even when i was straight edge, never really felt too into Minor Threat. People i dislike keep giving me their shirts/records and i keep giving them away to people i dislike more. Glad that phase of my life is over.

This was my favorite song on Flex Your Head. Never found anything else by them when I was young, so I haven't thought about them in 20 years. This has given me the incentive to look around again.

There was a dude at my Star Wars screening last night in an Out of Step shirt. I should have given him some kinda old punx unite gesture, but I'm just old and fat and socially anxious and wearing a BB-8 shirt now and I was like "aw fuck it."
This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.

Aw, man... One of my math teachers in community college whispered "Hail Crass!" to me while handing back an assignment in response to the DIY Crass patch on my shirt. He was the kind of person you-wouldn't-expect-but-in-hindsight-could-totally-see listening to Crass in his youth... Kinda nerdy, book-ish guy. A little bit hippieish, probably played D&D, and still rocks a beard and ponytail... The only response I could muster in that instance was a nervous chuckle and "Oh, yeah?! :animal: "

"Oh yeah?" is not even a logical response to "Hail Crass"... Urgh. I still get embarrassed remembering that. Social awkwardness and anxiety is the fucking wooooorst. The embarrassment is only compounded by the fact that I flunked that class... hard.

Long story short, I feel your pain.

Allthough I don't think it sounds super good in any way (and I'll be honest, I don't even own it) I think there's a certain charm about Minor Threat which is hard to wear out. Something about the energy and rawness of it that just makes it work.
