Most of the hard core pro life people I know don't care if refugees die and turn their backs to most of the horrible things that happen to the world's children.

What they mean is "Pro - American preferably white- (but really more anti abortion)-life"
It's a longer title but more true

That's what I mean by marketing: if you're not pro-life, you're pro-death, right? That's the implied subtext, but to steal a Bill Hicks bit, no one's crossing arms and blocking cemeteries if they're pro life. It's an exclusive term: there's no ambiguity when someone says they're pro life, because "pro life' is only used to say that you're anti abortion.

Pro choice is cut from a similar cloth, but it's not quite as good.


Jeb Bush is probably the most qualified, insofar as he's got two immediate family members who have held the office. Viva Nepotism.

I watched the Republican debates and Bush, Paul, Graham - along with most in the first debate, made some valid points. Its sad though that those with some voice of reason aren't polling well.

Trump literally just insults people and strings a bunch of things together to construct an answer to a question, which doesn't really address the question. Then he says he'll make "America great again" and people eat it up. Amazing.

Its also sad there aren't more candidates on the democratic side.

I think Trump is bringing out a lot of difference of opinion within the Republican party. Its spilling over into the conservative commentary arena where people are attacking each other's views.

In the Democratic side its just the Establishment candidate vs. The supposed radical. Sanders makes some good points but I fear he just fits too easy into the far left niche which isn't an area totally based on sound reasoning: SJW stuff. He is slot on about the environment.

On the subject of polarising arguments: yeah I get it, I just don't get how a majority of people can buy it.
A minority eating that sort of thing up? Yeah, sure.
But not enough to get a whole senate over the line.
I mean, we do it in this country as well, but there's a lot of mistrust and contempt for authority, politicians particularly, so they can't try it on as strong as that.
It gets shut down pretty quick when they do.

I think the reason there is a lot more Republican candidates is because that party is just so fucked now. Too many people split in to way too many crazy groups. Unless the talking heads of the Republican party get together and try their damnedest to fix what they've done, they're fucked for many years to come.

Right, The problem is that the GOP whipped these people into a quiet frenzy, so now that Trump's in the race they don't need to put up with the "respectable" face of the Republican Party, they can just fantasize about shooting Mexicans at the border openly.

Pope: they don't. No one actually wants Trump for President. Even the people who do want him to be President wouldn't actually want him to be President if they really thought about it.

I don't have anything positive to say about Hilary when she represented our state.
This area of the country has been destroyed by 2 floods and has had a mass shooting that nobody remembers
and we got no help from what I have seen
