Seriously. I almost had a wreck laughing so hard when I was listening to a story on the radio of how he kept pronouncing Hamas like "hummus" at an event held by Jewish Repubs.
Then there's the shit about the pyramids. He's endlessly entertaining—I will say that.

you know as this all goes along I find I under stand the actual meaning behind the tea party and what they actually think they want to achieve less and less, really don't get it, early on it seemed almost like a game or a bunch of kids rebelling in the silliest way they thought they could get away with, now I fear for the mental stability of a large part of the population. Is this de-evolution at work?
^Pretty much. Conservatives live in an alternate reality based on anti-intellectualism where facts and expertise are distrusted. If it takes rationalization or logic or study of facts -really anything which isn't thoughtlessly accepted as " common sense"- it is a threat. The Conservative worldview requisites that there is constantly an "other" trying to impose their way or destroy the American way of life.
It's kind of like grandpa. He's getting really out there saying racist shit and making decisions that are harmful to himself and others and really can't take care of himself anymore. I think we should look for a nice home for all of the tea partiers where they can get the care they need because we have to be adults and don't have time to be a full-time caretaker.
