I suppose this is exactly the same as the Procession with 3 other effects loaded on the FV-1 chip.

No, there's no amp in there - tone fairies and feedback goblins live inside this box.

well that could be said about their entire line of effects. the programming is the difficult part so you cant really fault them for that.

I don't want to fault them for that. It's juste the same architecture with updated features. That's it. I would consider it if I haven't a Procession, but I already have one.

Just my opinion, but I think part of the volume issue is the wet/dry taper on the mix knob (at least on the procession). The dry level drops off steadily across the taper, so if you turn it way up to get a prominent wet effect, the dry level is way down. In contrast, the mix knob on Neunabers does a nice job of keeping the dry level at full until the last little bit of the sweep, then it rapidly drops off to 100% wet. It works very well and allows you to get just a touch of wet, loud dry and loud wet, quiet dry and loud wet, and all wet.

Another slightly less versatile approach is to just have a wet volume control and a dry kill switch. Or max versatility with separate wet/dry volume controls.

A trim pot on the output would be useful, but wouldn't directly address the drop in dry volume when the mix knob is high.

Also, somewhere someone said you could send the procession back to be modded to address this issue. Any further info on this? Did it work? Where to send? Etc. Thanks!

Sounds really good--definitely my fave of all I've heard from OBNE, and if it can be tweaked by mere mortals to sound anything like the beginning of that song, I'm interested. Do folks think it was the crushed sound on the intro (before the twang-barred lead)? I love subtle-but-noticeable bit crushing and sample reduction on delay and reverb, but I find many implementations try to squeeze so much variation onto one control that it is hard to dial in a sweet spot--many times it goes from barely noticeable to too much in an infinitesimal degree of knob rotation. This sounds like it might afford more range of adjustment within my personal sweet spot zone--looking forward to a full soloed demo....

Mostly, it just makes me want to get a decent pitch shifter to put before my RRR.
