There was one (two - one head, one combo) Acoustic tube amp, marketed as a guitar model. Never seen one in person, never heard of one using it for bass unlike the SS models.space6oy wrote:for example i've heard some of the acoustic (brand) heads are nice, and they're all solid state far as i know...

Yeah, pretty much fuck ebay in general. Tried Reverb? I saw a Deuce listed in the $250-275 range, shipped.space6oy wrote:yeah, cbus craigs doesn't too often have some nice gear on it though, surprisingly.
it's a snob comment but i think most of the music scene just offers gear to others in it that they know. i always do that myself before bothering with craigs. and fuck selling on ebay.

i actually just used reverb for the first time. glad they let offer negotiations go back & forth apparently without a limit like ebay.
buying on ebay can be great, but i will never sell on there again. fucked over 3x, fuck them.

If you can find a Music Man head, get that.
I had an HD150 for a bit and used it with everything, and it sounded great.
Loud as all get out, also.
If not, get a Peavey.
