I love my MNP-2. It's such a beast. I've been meaning to demo it as well. Maybe when I've finished my exams. Still need to find a use for that shaker though. Haven't found a pedal that tames it enough for it to be useful for any sort of "musical" appliances. The toggle should have been a high cut rather than a distortion. I mean, that this is just so harsh sounding. Yeah, I know...noise maker :p :joy:

That droner though... :zen:

I tend to use the theremins a lot, but they need something to boost their signal. I use my Kompakt Kassette for one and my DBA verb for the other one. Crazy textures + pretty clanky spaceship verb. Great stuff.

I used the shaker as a feedbacker quite often...Or I just loop it with the CT5 for some kinda "percussion"...

The droner! Yes, that droner is amazing for two freaking knobs.

ha, I was the last purchaser of the $166 deal :idk:
Damn, all this talk has reaffirmed I really wanna try one. I love my afterneath, i feel like the misty cave would fill a similar role but differently? I don't know... gonna have to be on the lookout for flips. Also it all gets me excited for what will happen when Hirofumi makes an actual "reverb".

Supposedly one of the new ones is a reverb and I think an overdrive to replace the Steroid O.D.

But the waveshaper hint he threw out over a year ago was freaking awesome news. Tremolo too...maybe Ripplet +?

I did. Sold it when they went for crazy money. Wasn't really using it for anything productive, but now that I've got a tabletop setup in the works, getting a new one was a given. :snax:

Awesome, man! I like to use it for stacking or kind of controlling other effects, but it is a great little shaping box by itself.

I think the CT5 pitch modes can add the character to the shaker for more variation...I really have no idea what the modes are in that thing, but I think it was mode 2? I dunno...there is a little bit of it in the video up there.

You can also use the shaker as a microphone and talk into it (well, yell) for some lo-fi-ness (I think it is just a contact mike loose in there).

I remember seeing the Ct5 in that video. Going to peep it again tomorrow (in bed with cranky GF that has exam in 5 hours)

I've got some frustration built up in me. Defintely going to yell into the shaker tomorrow. I also want to buy a tape deck and record some stuff of my own for the tracer. Maybe yelling.
