Re: so I bought a dobro...
This is a Rondo. Before you start laughing your arse off, I bought one of their Tele's and after I changed the pickups and tuners, it is an AWESOME guitar. So the Chinese know how to do it now, build a decent guitar. After all, the Japanese, Koreans, Mexicans have all learned to build quality instruments.
I'll try to post a clip. Haven't tried the pickup on an amp yet, not expecting much there. Basically I just wanted a loud resonator to play in the apartment unamplified mostly.

Nothing wrong with a cheap guitar. Sometimes they're the most fun, and it sounds cool in your video.

Are they the same as the Ozarks they sell on Thomann? I've been tempted to take the plunge on one before.

No idea. The guitar says 'SX' on the headstock. Spider bridge.
I played a National once but I didn't really know what I was doing so kind of hard to compare. But this thing has an action I would compare to the FG Yamaha acoustic guitars.

The difference in sound between the two styles is biscuit is more plunky and percussive and spider is more sustainy and singy
