Hi,
I have a new power supply (1 spot cs-7) on the way and I have the opportunity to power a pedal at 18v and I only have the bitquest that could be.
Who powers it like that? Do you feel a difference?

I don't think the 18V tap is gonna give you enough power. BitQuest! tech spec says 150mA.
While leaves shall fall, do branches intertwine, that we remain bound.

Well, the BitQuest is a (mostly) digital pedal, so I suspect there is internal voltage regulation to run the pedal properly off a variable power source, so, if the requirement is 150mA at 9V it would pull 75mA at 18V. Also, my guess would be that it'll sound the same.

The website is correct.
THe manual doesn't mention 18v. I know this by answering this question incorrectly previously

You're right! Thanks.
I thought that if you powered a pedal with higher voltage it needed less mA. For exemple that's how you can power a H9, give it 12v and it needs about 100mA less.
The question remains the same (even if it doesn't work for me). Who has tried? Does it change something? Better headroom for the fuzz part only?
Maybe can Ryan help, we'll see tomorrow if he comes online.

My thinking was Ohm's law.. assuming R is a constant load, if V doubles then I doubles.
The BitQuest goes to 18V more out of convenience than out of sound quality and I don't really think it sounds much different at 18V, give it a try though and see if you do. You won't hurt anything by trying your available outlet and the BQ will let you know if it's not happy.. if you get a loud hum, weird static, weird high pitched noise, weird distortion, if it does anything super weird... it's not happy. If it sounds and works normally, it's happy.

Thanks, I'll try both 9v and 18v. If 18v doesn't work, I'll daisy chain some other pedals.

Ok guys, I received my CS-7 today and tried to power the bitquest at 18v 100mA.
It works perfectly, I tried both power outputs and no hiss/buzz/ Noise problems. I played it on the clean channel and I haven't tried the fuzz side to see if there was a différence.
I played it tonight on rehearsal, still no problems. So I'm happy to be able to use this power output whereas I never had problems with this pedal in a daisy chain though.
