Re: Bass VII
Would you want an extra low or high string? I want a Bass VI like Matt Pike's 9 string with the top 3 strings doubled.

Re: Bass VII
Low string, essentially a seven string guitar.
It'd probably have to be something like a fanned fret instrument to really work though. But I also love fanned frets, so no beef there.

Re: Bass VII
When playing with a guitarist, I'm a 4/5 string traditional guy. But when I'm playing with a drummer, I've been trying to do finger picking with a bass VI where I strum chords on the upper strings and do simple bass lines with the top. I just want more notes to expand that technique.kbit wrote:GIVE ME FOUR STRINGS OR GIVE ME DEATH.

Basically inspired by one of my favorite simple pieces to play on classical guitar.

I've been thinking about a fanned fret VI so much lately. If I had the money for a custom instrument that would be near the top of the list.Inconuucl wrote:Low string, essentially a seven string guitar.
