Peavey VTM/Butcher rehousing
I've read about people rehousing their VTM's and old Butchers into 5150 headshells. Anyone on here tried this? How much is this really reducing the weight? This amp is heavy as fuck but I don't know if it's really worth the effort/money to change the headshell.

It would likely reduce the weight a fair deal as those old head shells are enormous. That being said... the empty 5150 head shells aren't exactly easy to come by.

That would be rad. My butcher is like a boat anchor.

Lift weights. That's your only answer.
