NIN superfan can't sing for a nickel, starts band anyway. Plays to preteens in his basement with other people who become way more famous than him. Discovers post-rock five years too late. Funds a label with dirty AIDS money. Walks away from dirty AIDS money, bankrupts label.

Yeah but you did say "dirty AIDS money" and without context that sounds shitty, and it's kind of wrong. Martin jacked the price of a drug that's used to treat opportunistic infections, which people who have AIDS are highly susceptible to. The media labeled the drug as an "AIDS drug" because that's what makes it sound the most terrible. Not defending what he did, just taking issue with the way it's being described.
