ZOOM MS 70 CDR anyone?

Waiting for it to show (holiday shipping). I've played a GT-100 (same exact software). The big things for me are the discrete signal chains with envelope filtering (ie can set signal that's hot/attack heavy to chain #1, light to #2), the Tera Echo, and general options. The envelope routing is something I've wanted in a pedal for 20 years and nobody ever built for me.

Delay/chorus/etc are typical Roland solid, and I have my real Space Echo for insane stuff plus the existing chain.

My net goal is to just have some extra processing/amp sims and because I can outside of the envelope routing.

It's not like I *need* anything, considering *this* is my normal, day to day hookup chain.

I have both, the MS100 and the MS70.
The MS70 is the ultimate shoegaze\dream\ambient\ect.. cheap machine, it's like having Gutrie Govan in a box.
MS100 isn't that cheaper, you should buy the effects sepratelly, they add a new pedal once every two weeks. Some of them are really cool to play. (Small Stone and Klon uber alles)
With MS100 you can do some weird effect chains like-> autoswell - wet reverb- compressor - dirt - reverb. ect...

About Sound Qualiy:

It's a Zoom box, not an Eventide or a Strymon tank, so many algoritsm won't sound like the original, neither in bad or good way. I really like sometimes the shitty fizzy artifact in every pitch shift thing.

I think the CDR is really good, especially if you want a compact pedal to use which multiple sources (effects loops, feedback loops, keyboards, etc).

I know it's being touted as shoegaze/ambient in a box - but how are the chorus/flange/vibes? The trems!!? Part of what has me hooked on this idea is all the delay and verb, but I started looking for something to fill a need/want for modulation, so...

i dig a few of the chorus patches, i think mirage is my favorite. theres some detune and vibes that are really cool too and even a couple pitch shifters that are neat . never messed w/ the flange or the trem really.

trems are a little bit limited imo, like there's a couple great wackier ones but dialing in a really simple spring reverb and trem young widows rip off sound was surprisingly complex (ie took more than 30 seconds which is way too much for my simian brain).

This pretty quickly became one of my favorite pedals, especially considering the value. I tend to like *blank* Wave and Shoegaze tones, and it does a lot of those better than most stuff I've tried. I wish they'd do an updated version that puts all these modes in the G3/G5 chassis.

Sorry for reviving this dead thread but I think everyone should have one of these and a one control loop pedal. The 70 CDR does a lot and you can set it to "select a patch" mode with each stomp but you can't bypass in that mode, you just go to the next patch. If you have a bypass loop pedal you can just hit the bypass loop to bypass the 70 CDR. One Control is a cheap brand for the loop pedal.

I'm on the MS-100BT camp. Yes, a lot of the things that are standard on the CDR are paid extra on the 100, but the 100 can do one more extra effect (which also probably means some combos are possible on it and not the CDR), and I like having the options to use some of the amps and some of the distortion (most of the distortion is shit, the only good ones are the ones you have to pay extra for). The 100 also has some nice EQs, and I think some of the nice delay/reverb/mod is not available at all on the CDR, but I haven't checked. So, I guess if all you need is the modulation the CDR is your best bet, but if you have the money consider the 100. I just got a second one for cheap, I don't regret it. Then again, part of it was that I had a bunch of money on my App store account from an Apple gift card I could do nothing else with (don't use iTunes, don't get many apps), so it's not like that money was being used on anything else anyway...

I definitely think everyone should get one or the other, depending on their need and ability. I make noise, so I need a lot of distortion, but this covers most of my everything else I could want.

Are the Zoom Multistomp pedals likely to be phased out soon? I've noticed that the MS-100BT seems to have reduced in price recently. It's probably the best option now but it was about £30 more expensive when I bought my CDR and not all the CDR algorithms were available on the IOS app at that point.

i've watched so many videos of these things and want em both but my money has been tied up I hope they're not phased out anytime soon!! they are so fucking good for the price

MS70 and MS50 are what I use at home for headphones practice when I don't want to bother neighbors at night. But I could totally use those to replace my MIDI setup and the loud amps with the band if I had more control over it.
I can see myself recording with those too.
