damn, that thing is amazing. totally get an echo degrader vibe from it, too. I guess those are all the guttering sparkles hidden inside that pt2399 chip :)* that middle switch determines if it's latching or momentary? so rad & tiny.
i'm glad i can call you a friend. even if i'll never see you again

yeah its pretty incredible the different ways you can use it. the middle toggle is a called push, manual playback control. it also has four dip switches inside that do....stuff? haha i havn't really digested the manual yet. i know one of the toggles is for gain boost, and one lets the aux input take CV, maybe? still need to experiment. :joy:

also the third knob from the left is the wet/dry and it goes 100% for either, i kept the dry signal going so it was clear how the other knobs were affecting the sound when i was just strumming that open E etc. just wanted to point that out because while you can get really cool chorus type effects etc with the dry signal present its pretty kickass running it fully wet i've found. :joy:

It's like a Kompakt Kassette and an Echo Degrader jammed into one tiny enclosure, with some added wackiness.

I can definitely see the similarities but it REALLY nails that Memory Loss effect with the single repeat where the delay time/buffer can be adjusted.

plus I noticed afterwards that I didn't really show it directly but you can play a couple notes and flip the hold toggle or press the button and it will repeat that loop over and over, and you can mess with the pitch and speed using the knobbies. Super fun stuff. :!!!:

Isn't it the KK that was the single repeat though?

hahaha, i think we've probably got identical KK since we both ordered them at the same time. well the KK also does one repeat for me but not quite in the same manner as the memory loss does one repeat. or at least my version of the memory loss? looks like LG has two memory loss that sound different so who knows if we have the same version, right haha. when it comes to repeats my KK only produces one, but I can't control how long after I play a note that the repeat happens, thats something the...buffer? control on the memory loss lets me control, and thats how the teaspoon's bottom left knob acts in conjunction with the second knob from the left. plus the memory loss will loop the repeat over and over similar to the teaspoon.

Yeah, my ML does multiple/degrading repeats, all the way into self oscillation. I need to get an old version now, just to experience this single repeat mangle you speak of. Thanks a lot.

there is a teeny tiny range on one knob of my ML where I can get multiple/degrading repeats and i tend to stay in that range when i'm using the pedal as an always on, when i'm hands on the pedals I like to exploit the single repeat sample/hold aspect of it more. of course...just like rhys to make multiple awesome versions of a pedal

Both of mine do the are like wet delays with artifacts. One oscillates better by is more lo-fi and the other is more sharp...They can't replicate the sounds of each other at all. The lo-fi one is the way older one with the chip on the outside. I still gotta make a choice on these...haha. I got one for somebody and I gotta document and choose...it is a hard choice...both are cool in totally different ways. The older one sounds closer to Rhys' demo than the 2013 one.

I wonder how much of it has to do with variances in the pt2399? I wonder if something went wrong with one of our chips along the way? The mind warp had that problem and it was way distorted?

Who knows...but the mem loss both have multiple repeats as far as I can tell haha.

haha, now I want three haha.

I think Nora has a special one too.

I think the Kassette and Mind Warp have been the most standardized haha.

yeah i think Nora got a special version of the memory loss with KK circuitry added to make up for delay in getting the pedal out. kinda like what happened with me and my eccomod order that was "delayed" he make up for it by making an extra rad version.

So, like, is it possible to get those anywhere anymore? Or is it more stupidly rare stuff?
