The magic of the Slicer is in stereo, those cross fading presets are really sweet.
I could never get the attack control to sound just right for me, though.
It goes between real soft to real clicky quickly, in my experience.

That is awesome!
I heard that the basic flange sound of that pedal sucks which I fail to
Understand because a) it's a flanger and flanging rules and b) fairly certain it's a near clone of the mxr, and that thing is crazy good.
Good to see it's getting some sweet graphics now

I thought the good MXR's used SAD1024 chips (which there is no way that thing uses those)?goroth wrote:That is awesome!

I haven't really played the newer MXR ones though...I thought the Joyo kind of sounded dead and detached (like over the guitar or something)
Glad that Joyo got classed up...change the switch to a flush lever...haha

Re: The Whatever Thread .. For Gear!!
The Joyo is supposed to be a clone or close of in Ibanez FL-9, which in turn is similar to the MXR-117, allowing for BBD brand and housekeeping with clocks and whatnot. I would have to re read a DIY thread suggesting some Joyo-to-MXR distance might be closed with a few components added since the BBD stuff is a bit deep for me, but the idea did grab my attention.

I'm thinking I might want to switch my compressor/overdrive dirt section to like a super duper 2 in 1 so I can add a second fuzz. Thoughts, opinions? It seems like a really good/small option for two loud and nicely colored boosts.

Boaty I build my self a Super Duper and it is a great boost. When you have channel one and two dimed, with the master dialed back, it sounds like a tweed amp on the verge of death. So much good sag and squash. I might just throw mind back on the pedalboard. It's quite useful and can be a good OD into a breaking up amp!

All I want in life is a small looper with a dedicated stop switch, an FX loop, and a tone knob to separate it from my playing, is that too much to ask?

If someone told me I could only have 3 pedals, I would keep my Mini and get an El Cap and a Spaceman Orion, and I would probably just be fine forever.

And by that you mean you would gleefully flip each of them for something else at the most convenient opportunity.neonblack wrote:If someone told me I could only have 3 pedals, I would keep my Mini and get an El Cap and a Spaceman Orion, and I would probably just be fine forever.
