As far as amp settings go? More mids less treble and higher presence?

It's all personal preference. Turn those mids down for more mud though. But at the expense of clarity.

Yeah the thing about the OG Model T's is that they're big clean pedal platforms that used to be super cheap. Whatever crushing tones you're looking for will probably come from pedals, so just turn your volume knob up.

They are pretty much saying to get those crushing heavy doom/sludge tones... get you a pedal to put infront of it.

When in Model T doubt, look at Stephen O'malley's pedalboard.

I wouldn't have even quoted it, I didn't see D.O.S.'s other comment.
this is also why my gas for a Model T bit the dust when I fully realized that.

Re: 1st gen Sunn model T

Then again my suggestion is kind of ruined by the fact he covers his pedals...

I'm using a boneshaker into a pharoah so it's doing the job pretty well, thanks for the input I was always curious about how the old rat sounded into it I'll have to give it a try. Thanks

That'll do you real good, just EQ to taste. The RAT is a doom standard I suppose. But do what sounds good to you.
