Re: Snazzy FX
So first impressions...the distortion is a little weak and I somewhat like the "lo" gain side better than the "hi" but the tremolo is more alive in the "hi". Overall, my first impression is that it is just ok. I'm sure it will grow on me more. I really think it needs to be stacked with something else. The distortion is not very dynamic and very mild/even-tempered. The tremolo side is like a gristleizer (vca side) taken to a camp to be rehabilitated for society and the procedure worked! Some of the character is there, but it is more like a spacier Vox repeat percussion or something. Sometimes I could get the tremolo to bloom on parts of power chords and sometimes not. When the speed is set to high on some settings, it gives this filtery sound that is kind of neat.
Sorry about the bad playing (it hasn't inspired me to really find myself in it yet):

It is really interesting for a tremolo though and it does kind of capture a spacey vibe to it. I'm going to mess around with it more but the Dirty Doper keeps calling me back.

No I haven't yet. I'll try the broadcast and 8-step...

Sounds great to me so far, I can hear the potential.

Re: Snazzy FX
ok dudes...this thing fucking rips. I thought my particle was bleeding into the signal because I was hearing this glitchy/trem sound when the note decayed. it was just the feedback maxed out without an obvious trem/dip while riffing
i was a little more stoked on the modulated side of this pedal while waiting for it, but this fuzz sounds amazing...it is so smoooth. that dip gets really gooey
mine sounds pretty 'high gain' with the speed set to hi. need to find some banana plugs and fuck with this cv stuff.
i'm glad i can call you a friend. even if i'll never see you again

Re: Snazzy FX
Yea, still looking for my 1/8" plugs and adapters here. The trem decay is awesome...it is really growing on me. I gotta get more into it...back to the cord search. (cord found)
If you like the look of it, don't sweat on it...rubs that paint pen right off.
edit: ok, spent some time with it and the cv stuff...
I don't think 8-step is right...broadcast works fine...but it really is about adjusting the offset, bias, and, tilt to get the proper CV responce and mix with your signal. I want to say that this is almost like a very complicated way to turn unique LFOs into a harmonic kind of tremolo with added nice sounding distortion. Once I finally got a chance to up the volume on my amp, the distortion does come through nicely and it lets notes and chords breathe on their own. It doesn't have the dynamic decays and disharmonic things like a lot of fuzzes and some distortions, but it is a good addition (it's like a really nice dirty preamp...I could see just running stuff into it like that).
But yea, the CV worked fine...just takes a second to dial it in (i think so that it doesn't cancel its self out)...I think of the trem side as more of a unique way to integrate CV and guitar signals together and giving you the controls to set it up right so that one doesn't eat the other. Video soon...gotta sort through a bunch of junk on the think (knob twists phone drops etc). soon.
The trem actually stacks well and can be either super choppy or not...It can be somewhat hard to dial in overall, but I think I am pretty happy with it.

Re: Snazzy FX
I think I like the character of the Divine Hammer's LFO more than I like inserting one...but I'm sure modular people could find some awesome ways to use this thing. It works really well with the Broadcast...not so much with the 8-step...(I'm finding a trend)
Anyway, here is some CV and not CV sounds.

Some of the neat things I find cool about this box is the weird way you can go into gated distortion land with trem and then stop...like lost of dynamics and straight up gated machine gun and the way there is like a second fizz sound that bounces back sometimes. It's getting more fun and there are a lot of ways to use it.

Really nice! I'll get more into it soon. Gotta go back to the Dirty Doper though.

ok, this thing is the SHIT!!! I get lost in it every time I turn it on
this thing into a fuck is just gorgeous sounding. can't wait to experiment with the cv ins cause a lot of magic happens when you're twisting knobs. I'll try and record a demo soon..here are a few clips

Re: Snazzy FX
LOL. that was wild. I asked if dan if he planned on making more wow and flutter pedals this year but he left me hanging q_Q;;
thanks, lg! not sure if you guys have found this sound yet, but there's a setting where it dips twice back to back and stays leveled for a while in between. shit is nuts.. have you guys messed with the cv inputs yet?
really considering painting this pedal. it sticks out like a sore thumb. I don't plan on selling it, but I'm still a bit reluctant.. while I'm at it, the power jack placement is pretty awkward!
