So can you create your own step sequences or can you only choose from/augment from those that come built in?

In the Sweetwater Sound video, the guy just plays a sequence and it sounds like a simple, stock, ascending sequence, and I wasn't sure if he created it or it was something pre-programmed.

I'm pretty sure this is not pre-programmed. Things rarely are in the modular world. We modular users pride ourselves in being able to make all our horribly boring oscillator-wanking noises just by ourselves and without the help of any presets

This, I've been to shows that are nothing but an hours of one dude patching random shit with the same sequence playing. i would say it was fucking boring but the dude knew what he was doing and made it interesting.

...I mean, relatively so, there were multiple people there who were bored out of their minds.

Sweet water had the tiered piece for sale. There was a drop down menu that allowed for the third tier.

I'm so conflicted. I can buy a Maths, Doepfer Dual VCA, and ALM SBG 006 right now or pre-order the Mother.

The more I learn about modules, the less I want them to have anything to do with my pedals. Expression pedal options in Euro aren't quite where I want them to be either, so I'm holding off on any kind of interface for that indefinitely. The current options just don't seem up to pedalworld standards IMO, so I'm waiting for better modules that do more, and I do expect there will be some in the next few years...but by then I might not even want them anymore. I'd definitely grab the Maths and keep moving forward, and wait for a used Mother 32.

The ALM SBG 006 is the only module I found that I like so far. I really want to interface my pedals with my unit though because it's just more fun for everyone. The Malekko module seems super cool as well but I'm not sure when that is coming out.

I want to wait for a used Mother 32, but realistically how long is that going to take/is it really worth the $20 or so that I'll end up saving/can my GAS hold off?

Detroit Modular said they might be getting theirs in next week! Just pre-ordered mine so hopefully I'll have it in my hands in a couple weeks!

I've been kinda sick for the past few days and last night I had some real fucked up fever dreams about needing a Mother 32 to "unleash the potential" of the modular I've started building and then it culminated into terrifying visions of my wife yelling at me about how the Mother 32 was destroying the competitive used market for Sub37's and that I as going to lose my ass on it.


Needless to say, shit was way too real and completely fucked up.
