DBA owners

Post by Morax »

...I really wanna pull the trigger on a few of their products but i've heard some folks bitch about their build quality and reliability...if you've got some DBA shit then i'd like to know how it's held up for ya...thx!

Here's an older thread on DBA: viewtopic.php?f=149&t=8256&hilit=death+by+audio

Seems to follow the pattern I've seen elsewhere...love/hate!

i was under the impression that if your pedal broke, you sent it to them and they'd fix it for free.

Yeah they do, but apparently they take awhile. (that's what I've heard, I don't know for sure).

Only thing that keeps me from buying their stuff is the $$$. I will eventually though, I love the sounds they make.

I've have/have had an Interstellar OD, Harmonic Transformer, Fuzz War, Sound Saw, Octave Clang, Interstellar OD w/master volume, TSA, and finally the Ring Modulator. They have all been really cool and useful for something at some point.

Build quality has hugely improved since 2006. All the pedal built since will last forever.

Oh, hey dude! With a handle like RossCanyonsofstatic I should have totally figured that out that you were in that band. Yeah! We'd love to play with you guys again. Especially if we can blow up some shit in the process.

I'm really interested in buying a DBA pedal soon. I'd love to see some gut shots to see how clean the builds are.
