Piezo pickup addon for guitars
LTD baritone 6 string with Tune-o-matic type bridge. Is there a inexpensive way to get a piezo sound? Without having to buy a special piezo bridge?

You can buy a bag of piezo elements for very cheap and attach them yourself if you're feeling crafty. Whether it'll sound good or not is a different matter though.
I have a few lying around and have been meaning to attach one for ages, I can report back when I finally get round to doing it.

Thanks. I saw Gibson sells a Nashville bridge with piezos and it sounds really good.

I've been doing it for years - it's noisy and fucked up and lots of fun. I've put them in a strat (just floating underneath the springs, really good sounds), a tele custom with a jm vibrato (I had the element actually embedded in the cavity wall going to its own jack, as well as a phone speaker in the bridge pickup cavity wired into the main circuit) and my mustang (piezo under the vibrato plate, wired up to its own volume pot via a 3-pot control plate I picked up).monkeydancer wrote:You can buy a bag of piezo elements for very cheap and attach them yourself if you're feeling crafty. Nice! New soldering iron should be arriving any day now, soon as it does I'll get experimenting. I'm definitely looking more for noisy fun like picking up the jag behind the bridge strings more, but will see if I can get nice sounds too.
