A Place To Bury Strangers show

Post by sev »

Went to see them last night. Noisy and chaotic, and trippy lights for stoners (me), they were kind of entertaining....but their drummer was pretty terrible. Dude was just unsteady, spastic, and altogether sketchy. All in all, they sound way better on recordings than live.

I've heard pretty much the same thing that they're hit or miss live.

Maybe the drummer was stoned too?

I would see them live if I had the chance, sounds like it would be fun. Not a huge fan of the recorded stuff that I've heard.

Does anyone know of that video that was posted here a long time ago of APTBS playing one some radio, and in the middle Oliver sets up this other amp or something and makes this really crazy, awesome feedback?

Yeah, their drummer is pretty balls live. Oliver can't sing in key a lot of the time too.

123 just posted it. Oliver does that at most shows. takes his vocal mic and places it infront of one of his twins and then comes back in with all his drives on. I remember the first time I saw them the entire room jumped when he did that. :success:
