A band you once hated but now love

Neil Finn was good though, in Crowded House.

I always found that Crowded House does this thing were they have one amazing part of a song (usually the bridge, sometimes the verse) that makes me go "ooohhhhh pretty and interesting" and then one that makes me want to projectile vomit (almost always the chorus). I'm supposed to pretend that Neil Finn is actually an Australian but fuck it, New Zealand can have him and Crowded House.

They were only half good but there was something about them and stuck with me. In the brief interludes where I had a band (massive air quotes around that word) I did a punk cover of "Something So Strong" and I still like that song quite a bit.
