The Klon. Completely unnecessary. Turn your damn amp up.

+10.
I never understood why everybody freaks out about the Klon, tbh. I played it and it's very dynamic but it doesn't do anything that you couldn't do with a good boost pedal in front of a nice tube amp.

the worst amp ever is the one that doesn't work

the worst pedal ever is the one that is permanently broken

the worst guitar ever is the one that is snapped in two and is warped beyond belief

though in their prime, they may have been the best gear ever
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

Current ILF Love: OHNOHO CHK CHK BOOM, Mellowtone Melx Fuzz 2, EQD Dream Crusher, Devi Ever ID, Dr. Scientist Proto-Miniberator - new vids eventually

I could find something useful for that guitar :)

This, plus, bassists use solid state amps all the time, and they manage to get some decent sounds :whateva:

I would have liked a 60 for how small my apartment is, but $200 for the Talking Heads old amp was too good to pass up. :animal:

worst guitars : this cinder block contraption ... <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/hFyQXy74xz4&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/hFyQXy74xz4&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
then there's this papier Mache monster ... <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/IxjFr08ii4k&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/IxjFr08ii4k&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
and finally a solar powered rig (isn't most of the best guitar played after sunset ?) ...<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/p65gpjNgWMU&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/p65gpjNgWMU&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>and as amps go, I have never played a crate that I have liked.

the worst pedal would be the one that doesn't work. :animal:

SERIOUSLY THOUGH, I STILL ADORE ALL THREE OF THE GUITAR VIDEOS HERE WITH ALL MY HEART ! , may bad music played on bad gear for bad people never stop or be snuffed out by the elite ! :thumb:

If a pedal on my board feels ashamed, it needs to find a new home.

fender red knobs, yamaha g50s/100s, and sunns are also great solid states

I've always wanted to try/hear a Sunn. Haven't yet had the pleasure.

I agree, I liked all the Yamaha G50's/G100's Iv'e played through ... but for me the epitome of solid state goodness are the old Gorilla 8" 50 Watt amps (not the pussy 35 watt ones ) the built in "Tube Cruncher" gives me shivers and reminds me closely of the new school boutique fuzz/fender single coil sound ( I used a humbucker model les paul copy for the same tones back in the 80's :oldrant:. They will destroy those cheap speakers quickly though.
I gave up on Tube amps last time I moved and couldn't take my beloved TUSC 15" bass amp ( MAN that was a Heavy beast) , still sounded amazing with my guitar even after a friend borrowed it, forgot he was supposed to warm it up and smoked it.They are too high maintenance for me anymore... I replaced them currently with a Roland Blues Cube BC-30 with some kind of tube emulation circuitry, It's my new LOVE.
But play what you like, I couldn't give two squirts of piss for approval of my gear, especially when It's all I can afford in this economy.
