Does anybody know of some Bassman + guitar recordings? Preferably studio stuff and Silverface bassmans.

Re: The Whatever Thread .. For Gear!!
Sooooo I'm clearly an idiot.
I'm struggling to figure out a way to daisy chain my pedals. I use a voodoo labs p2+ and have never had the time come where I wanted more than 8. I used to daisy chain with my 1spot all the time, but now I'm stuck using both. I only want to power 10 pedals, none of which are super high draw so it shouldn't be an issue, and I shouldn't have to use both the p2+ and the 1spot.
I somehow thought I could plug my daisy chain into the "out" power spot on my polytune, but that doesn't work. What do I plug in, where?
Actually now that I'm typing this... I bet I just unplug one of my 8 pedals and plug the daisy chainer onto that power cord from the p2+ .... off to experiment some more

Re: The Whatever Thread .. For Gear!!
Yeah i just want to keep everything as streamlined as humanly possible, so I'd much rather just have everything run off the daisy chain. I think I have everything rewired in such a way that it should work but I had to leave before testing.
Why do companies use such blinding indicator lights on pedals? Is there a situation where I would want the light super bright? I guess maybe playing outside in a desert... I'm talking about the large size bulbs in blue or white. So bright I can't even see where my knobs are set in low light. Trying to find some tape to calm them a bit.

I'd guess it's to make them useable on a stage in bright daylight, or under bright stage lighting.

Don't they know pedals are meant to be used in dungeons or abandoned missile silos?

Re: The Whatever Thread .. For Gear!!
First real test with the new bass. Running it on two parallel chains.
Chain 1: Space Echo (no delay, just for overdriven tape tone) -> CT5 -> DBA Interstallar Overdrive
Chain 2: Cyber Psychic -> DBA Kill Kill Filter -> Warpedd Vinyl (Warmth, barely doing anything otherwise) -> EP Booster
Both through Amp Emulation, and then mixed with a clean DI for punch.
Then variations of the same chain for guitars and a few extras here and there.
New bass for reference:

Super happy to finally have a bass at home. But now I'm sure I'll get addicted and need to get more.

Re: The Whatever Thread .. For Gear!!
Kirk Hammett is releasing a line of pedals branded under his own name now.
Market is about to start to trend downward.
Can his advisors really think this is a good market to get into now? Kinda missed the boat...now if he was in there with a Hakko iron making parametric EQs personally, I think some fanboy's would jump on the boat.
Now a Roger Daultry handmade ribbon mic company or a Ted Nuget utility loincloth line on the other hand ...
(kidding, please don't do it)

You shouldn't be so mean to Kirk dude. He never did recover from having his penis stolen twenty years ago, have some sympathy.

Yes, by all means, give me more unobtainables to gas for.
Did this turn into the Epilepsy, or is it something else entirely?

Yup, super comfy to play. I like heavy guitars, the extra weight doesn't affect me too much since I always play sitting at home. I wired it up with the appropriately named alumitones.odontophobia wrote:That's the Hartke Aluminum neck bass, yeah? Always thought those were cool.
