And for the cover I was actually going for a more Philip K. Dick-ian feel than Lovecraftian. But Lovecraft is fine. It's a picture of a chinese crested dog, mirrored a couple of times until it became this fur-eye-teeth planet.

LOL, I figured it was some kind of unholy mutated little dog. Anyway, I just saw a ball of eyes and teeth and my mind went to "Shoggoth."

This second track is really fuzzed out, great way to start my morning...

I was talking about this in Cologne... it's so great that you collaborate like this... I'd do something like that in a second (I actually absolutely love sample manipulation and degradation but never get to do much of it because of... reasons?) and I immensely respect you got something this awesome out of it

Obviously making albums can be pulling-teeth levels of misery and 3,000 miles of difference has the possibility to compound that, but the nice bit about collaborating like this (esp. since we weren't on any sort of schedule) is that the only expectation is something you can be proud of at the end. It's very different from being part of an 'in the same rehearsal space and holy fuck dude we've played this song 5,000 times why are you still botching the changes you use too many pedals you have the worst ideas Fuck you Fuck You Fuck You smoke break!" band because of the lack of immediacy, which is very nice.

Not that I don't love playing in those sort of 'same rehearsal space' bands, but it's just a different thing.

You're welcome! As much as Lustmord is like the gold standard I like the spin Ten Horned Beast puts on that stuff. Seems a lot more primitive and raw.

Thoughts, it made me feel like I was falling through space or something, both tracks did this in their own way, that's a big thing, that's a hard thing to achieve.
The balance was good too, not to harsh and you could really hear a lot of definition.

idk I have always had this collab idea in the back of my mind but the first couple years I was lurking + posting on ILF I was pretty intimidated by the quality of the music here and I didn't want to waste anyone's time. I still don't want to do that, and I'm still intimidated (in a good way), but resin was the one who goaded me to start actually think about making the idea when we did our split and started talking about the drone comp.

In the words of that stupid Shia LeBouf video and Nike, just do it?

In all seriousness, that sounds like a really great bill, and I'm stoked to be mentioned in such good company. Not to say that it will/won't happen or to speak for BS or Phanta, of course, but it is a nice thought.
