Got my Space in, it's pretty vast. Not quite sure its for me though, after all this. Playing into a fairly dirty amp makes most of the modes sound not too different from each other after spending an hour going through presets
Sounds amazing in stereo, incredibly deep. I just don't play clean very often anymore AHH

Yeah, verbs tend to do that when getting crushed. Try a verb designed to be dirty, like the DBA ones. Less options available to you, but solid. Or, try reverb in post after the amp. Less fun live in a room, but can sound great dirty.

With the amount of reverbs there are now, I've been enjoying my RV-3 more than anything else. It's not as pristine, but that's what I like about it.

I've been holding out, but I think what I really need is a decent tube reverb unit. I've had a few solid state ones, but I want the tube drip

My RV3 is pretty much always on in the beginning/middle of my dirt chain, it just makes everything better.Andrew wrote:With the amount of reverbs there are now, I've been enjoying my RV-3 more than anything else. It's not as pristine, but that's what I like about it.

I recently got my first nice delay and it made the amount of reverb use go from pretty much all the time to using it a lot more intentionally at times. This has lede to really consider another reverb, like a big full featured one. See what difference that makes. I dig my RRR a lot but it doesn't have that much tweakability after the mode switch.

what about if you put in the amp's fx loop? (assuming it has one)skullservant wrote:Got my Space in, it's pretty vast. Not quite sure its for me though, after all this. No FX loop in my Science. FRONT END OR DIE.
If I played clean like I used to, I would totally be in bliss with the Space

Skully mate, you sound like you would enjoy an RM-1N....
I swapped my space for one and have only rarely looked back. Springy, loves dirt before and after, has built in dirt before and after. The post gain in particular I really enjoy. You would make a tidy profit on the SPACE too

I tried the RM-1 prototype when the original tour box rolled through a while back and I dug it. Honestly could probably be the only pedal on my board if I really wanted it to be
