If anyone screwed around with Titanium it would be Obstructures. They've already made tools using it

Little Mustang I built up at Nazareth Guitar Institute over the weekend. Warmoth body and neck, Novak pickups, Mastery bridge, dodgy homebrew "finish". Pretty stoked with how this one came out.

Thanks everybody. Skully – I achieved that finish by doing the following, if I remember correctly:

MinWax oil-based ebony stain
MinWax oil-based ebony stain
Birchwood Casey sealer/filler
Much sanding
MinWax oil-based ebony stain
Sanding?
MinWax oil-based ebony stain
Sanding?
Birchwood Casey Tru Oil
Much sanding.

It was my first time trying to "finish" a body, and the major thing that I learned is that I should have stained many more coats before sealing. The sealer/filler was awesome for filling pores and smoothing things out overall, but it really did SEAL the wood. The last two coats of stain barely hit the wood. Pretty crazy. Super fun process though.

my problem with the finishing process is always patience.

1994 MN4 serial "Squier Series" Fender stratocaster, with the Billy Corgan Dimarzio prewired pickguard, heavily overhauled by a luthier who lives nearby.

-Dimarzio BC-1, Chopper, and BC-2 pickups
-Neck refinished, refretted with medium jumbo fret wire, bound
-Body refinished in midnight blue
-Stock bridge replaced with Babicz bridge
-Compensated brass nut
-Body and pickguard routed for jag switchplate
-Jag switches control vol/tone bypass, HP filter, phase inversion in position 4
-Roller string trees

It is my favorite guitar. It's currently my only guitar. The tuners could use an upgrade to stock Fenders, as I think these guitars were built with import tuners and I'd like something with a higher tuning ratio. Doesn't affect playing, really, they hold tuning well. It's just sort of annoying.
