I usually compare this to the microkorg and if I HAD to choose between the two I'd probably go with the microkorg

here's why:
While the big keys on the Micron are a definite plus, patch changing is a complete deal breaker. You basically just have that one big knob on top to change between patches. To me, I find the microkorg's patch changing much better...at least more options for changing on the fly. You can always get used to the small keys.

Then again, if you're not worried about making patch changes on the fly, the Micron may be a better bet. The bigger keys again are nice to have in such a small package and it does sound stellar.

Patch changing would be easier on the Microkorg, but you use the keys on the Micron as shortcuts, it's not all with the control knob.

I fail to see how changing patches is harder at all on the Micron, using the key shortcuts is really easy and you can program it to have all your faves in one bank. I don't think the Microkorg is easy to change on the fly at all. A huge knob that I have to more then select which patch I want?

I have a Microkorg and a Micron and the Micron is win for various reasons. The keys are so much better to use. IMO the sounds are a million times better.

The Microkorg is really just a generic synth for people trying it out IMO.

Yeah I'd go with Micron for sure. Once you get used to the keys for patches its actually faster to use than the microkorg, and the sounds are much more powerful and real sounding. Microkorg just sounds kind of...boring compared to it.

Extremely versatile mobile rig. It can even run entirely on batteries! I'm loving it.

Not my pic. I love this thing so much... I don't have any floppies, so I can't save patches, but when I bother with it, it has some of the thickest pads you can imagine! And the 16 voice unison detune, plus my AX-7, plus a skinny tie... it's like 80s heaven. :p
I want a giant bunny and I want a bunch of regular bunnies and they will form a hive mind and the giant bunny will be the queen bunny and they will attack in swarms.

How do you like those Electro-Faustus gizmos? From the demos I've seen, they look purdy sweet.

They are a blast. The EF-101 of indispensable in my rig for the noise sweeps it produces.
