Nope. Keep forgetting...haha...I'll get to it.

saw Antemasque though...know they are related somehow. They were ok. Nothing I see myself buying an album of but entertaining at a show for a bit.

Hey I love 7 Seconds

7 seconds is alright. Traded alt.music.hardcore (the only cd I had) for Citizen Fish "Free Souls in a Trapped Environment". Best trade ever.

Was Flea playing with Antemasque?

And hold on, I'll find a clip or something from their heyday.

Nah, it wasn't Flea.

My friend (the one that loves Tame Impala) played Trivial Pursuit with Flea in the 1980s. It was either before RHCP was big or when he was in Fear. haha. Said he was awesome and really nice to talk to and was really good at Trivial Pursuit.

I saw Flea last year with Atoms for Peace...you know where him and Thom Yorke dance in skirts with the dude with the snare tower.

Saw RHCP too...and it sucked (sorry can't stand em...think I left and did something else...it was at Coachella)

I'll search for some At the Drive In later. haha

Source?.
I'm talking about Jet. I don't know or care who you are talking about.

Oh and I don't hate the ramones (anymore). I just don't feel the need for them in my life. Actually feel a similar way about Black Flag. I came to punk through early 90s DC stuff so I'm a card carrying PC police, ebullition reading fun hater.

What is wrong with the fucking Ramones?
a) No?
b) I acknowledged that?
c) Nothing? Just heard them too much so it's white noise to me?
unit .1 - still pending due to data already collected from a basic survey of general area?
unit .2 - you were not the exclusive recipient of query?
unit .3.2 - the cheese factor not implemented in a overall semblance of one's worship of pop culture in all it's uselessnesses?

it's something particular to only people my age and from my area, seriously. If you grew up in melbourne in the 90s and wanted to find something remotely punk at various points you would end up at the Tote Hotel, because they never checked IDs, where you would be bashed over the head with seven bands a night doing really shitty oz-rock takes on the Ramones.

Now I grew up in a weird suburban taste-ghetto where they weren't my first exposure to punk like pretty much everyone else. So my first fifteen thousand experiences of the Ramones were those terrible bands. It's the same category as how my first exposure to Bad Brains was 'god of love'. So punishing that at this point I just can't let them into my life, no matter how influential both bands were. They need to get you at the impressionable age and at this point I'm like 'cool, that's influential on a lot of stuff I love but I'm having flashbacks to being 14 and getting spewed on and threatened with a stanley knife on the 2am bus back to the suburbs'.

The PA at The Tote fucking rules for heavy shows these days though. Such an overpowered system for the room, fantastic.

They fired their first bassplayer because he was fat and didn't dress to their bargin-bindie glam schtick. Enough said.
Understandable. I can almost relate in the way I hate most country and new age and most electric blues, my teens were spent in a tourist town in the middle of nowhere where there was nothing to do, or go, any music I liked came via mail, once I was relocated to move "civilized places" I was always able to pick and choose  I don't love or hate the Ramones but they have a few songs I like and they are a lot more fun than fucking popular country :barf:
