Okay, here's the deal.

I know people bought used last year. I seriously doubt any recipients were like "AW, USED???" unless it was broken.

The money part is a guideline. Go over if you want. You're gonna have more options in the 100-150 range. And if you buy used, be smart. Make sure its in good shape. Test it. A box would be awesome. Avoid Velcro if possible.

How do you get an awesome, brand new pedal in the $50 to $100 range without going Boss or Behringer?

Seriously though I don't know. We've had that 50-100 thing for awhile. I mean, it's not about what your receive and pretty sure almost everyone spent more than that in the previous years when they could.

I was just stating I don't like receiving basically rejected pedals. Like if we're going to do this, let's do it right kind of thing. You know?

For example you do etching. Well, then you could etch a pedal and even rehouse a Boss pedal. That totally makes it awesome and someone would be happy as shit to get it. You put thought and effort into it. The last two years I received amazing gifts. I didn't even expect one last year!

It was one of the previous years that left a sour taste in my mouth. Which will happen from time to time I know.

Expectations seem unusually high here, if people want custom pedals, unobtanium etc. Maybe I will sit this one out.
