Here's a one off reverb I made a few years ago using an old reverb tank from a 50's hammond organ. The knobs are dry, wet, and tank drive. I made it for studio use and love how dark and saturated it sounds. You can't hear in the video but its got a ton of low end which I think gets lost in a lot of digital reverbs.

That's my secret to my good reverb sounds (especially the subtle ones) on my mixes. Use a whole lot of low end on the verb, but trim some of the mud out. Most verbs don't have this by default, but when you dig into some of the nicer ones, you can usually find something. Nothing beats something analog like this though! Would be especially cool if it had a separate dry and a wet out

Agree with the above sentiment! Killer look man on those pcbs but no one will see them. That stinks!!! LOL! I know someone that can do some killer bass demos if you need. Cough Excane COUGH.

How difficult to build one of those boxes? I have a reverb tank sitting in the bottom of my Marshall combo I never use because I only use the amp for pedals and have it set up just for that. I just switch the amp on and then get my sounds from pedals. Would love to be able to mount the tank under my board and have real spring reverb on my pedalboard.

I based it off the Stage Center Reverb schematic and threw a voltage inverter in there too. I made a lot of changes to it to add the dirt control and to get it to work with my tank cause I had no idea what impedance it was. Also made it true bypass. If you use this schematic the mix is really the dry signal pot and dwell is the wet signal pot. I did some reading on this site to get it to work. If you can figure out the impedance of your tank it shouldn't be that hard.

If anyone wants one of these I think I have another old hammond tank lying around to make one. I'll post it on here if I throw it together.

hey Chankgeez, made this test purple muff and I kinda messed up the front lettering so if you want i could give it to you at a discount. no pressure. just posting some stuff ive been messing with. im probly never gonna do one like it again cause its a nightmare filling in the laser grooves with paint.


i tried with another finish and messed that up so I gave it a "distressed" look. probly gonna sell this at my local music shop.
