I haven't done this before, but was considering it this year. For the record, I don't know about others, but I'd be totally fine with a used pedal. Even a beat up one, as long as it's cool. And there's some boss pedals I'd be totally stoked on as well, so it seems a shame to throw those out. Like, if I got a beat up ass old Taiwanese hm2 I'd be totally stoked. Just sayin'...

Yeah, if you're okay with used stuff I think it's fine to give used stuff as gifts. Let's just make sure it works and maybe clean the muck off it. Like I said, I think it's more important that some honest thought went into it. We'll have a wish list thread once everything is finalized and you can specify what you're cool with getting.

Yeah, its more in the sense of rare, harder to find, out of production stuff. I think people should buy new whenever possible, especially from ILF builders. It's not to be cheap. I'm pretty sure some used stuff got gifted last year.
