haha, reverb is alright, just don't like playing through it.
It's all about the fuzz man.

Reverb is cool, delay is probably even cooler.. to me.. I think they’re different beasts though and can bring in different moods and emotions, so I always have both at my board..

Used too. I think he stopped using them when he started shilling for Reverb dot com. Sort of a confusing conflict of interests I guess.lordgalvar wrote:Does that boot wearin' dude really get picks that say reverb sucks on them?
As to the video above. I think he has lightened up and come out of the reverberation closet so to speak. He does do a lot more verb demos now, but I only watch him for the Fuzzes of course.

I think GMD demoing any given pedal at this point is more of a business decision than anything else. He was mildly entertaining for a while (especially when everyone thought he was Jack Black), but, as much as he may like 'em, he really doesn't understand effects pedals. (That being said, I'm still subscribed to his YouTube channel.)

Re: Reverb with Modulation; Caveman-Style
I always get the part where he says Dr.Z or Mojotone and then click to watch something else. I don't like listening to some dude talk. I think I sat through on of his vids when Eivind mentioned he sounded like Jack Black and that was kind of funny. He was repping some kind of overdrive that was his signature model or something at the beginning. Yea, not my thing.
I actually watched a good demo of a dude talking (briefly) about silvertone versus mosrite for surf and then busted out some bad ass surf playing. That was cool. Made me want to fix my 1445 even more.

Ignorance is bliss. All the things in life I love I don't really understand, women, guitar effects, hamburgers...all of which can be stacked!
Silvertone all the way, dude. You got a link to that video?lordgalvar wrote:I actually watched a good demo of a dude talking (briefly) about silvertone versus mosrite for surf and then busted out some bad ass surf playing. That was cool. Made me want to fix my 1445 even more.

1445 has the same nut width and string spacing as a Mosrite Mk I but has a slightly longer scale (like 1/4" or something). I love it, but the pot metal cracked on my trem and it sits at an angle now so that the high-e string sits like 3/8 above the fretboard. The screw that provides the pivot on the trem went through the pot metal. Don't know if I should just change it to something different or find a replacement teisco style one to keep it all original. The neck is pretty straight and that action is fairly low (except that one string....I have the bridge at like a 15 degree angle to get it to engage the string). A Mosrite bridge does work on this guitar, but it is too tall because of the pegs (and the hole sizes are different and about 1/16" different center, but the string spacing is correct).
I love that guitar, but it is unplayable in its current condition. But yea, if I could bust out some man or astroman riffs, I'd probably be all over some tube reverb.

Re: Reverb with Modulation; Caveman-Style
It can't be the only model Teisco guitar that had that kind of bridge/vibrato. I bet you could find a replacement somewhere out there on the interBay pretty cheap.

Re: Reverb with Modulation; Caveman-Style
I dunno, every time I look, I can't find them. I can find the bigsbys, but not that one [most likely they fail alot...might have to pick up a junker to steal from or cnc one or something,..no hurry on it]
Here is the other half of that video in written form. Good stuff in there. Just a good overview [not too deep]
