Anyone tried an RV-6?
I'm in the market for a new reverb for $150 or less, and I haven't heard any yays or nays towards this pedal. Just want to hear some feedback/suggestions? Has to be able to have trails though.

Re: Anyone tried an RV-6?
I work at guitar center and I was so stoked to see the RV-6 in stock. I don't like the modulate mode quite as much as the RV-5, but it's still pretty nice sounding. The spring, plate, hall and room modes are fine, they sound basically as good as you'd expect them to, I like the plate the best. It's really hard for me to find a spring reverb I like, so it didn't surprise me that the RV-6's spring didn't quite do it for me. The dynamic mode is a cool idea that allows you to play without the reverb muddying up your playing, which is nice if you want to riff without getting lost in your own trails, but it's still not my favorite mode. The +Delay mode is sick, my coworker almost decided against buying an Earthquaker Dispatch Master because the RV-6 sounded great doing it. That said, he hasn't picked up either yet haha. The shimmer mode is what I was most excited for, because I wasn't quite in love with the Eterna (or the Gold Modified Eterna) shimmer sound, and I'm way too fucking broke to bring home a BlueSky. The shimmer mode on the RV-6 is seriously great, but it's the only mode offered in the pedal that I don't wish sounded at least a bit different. That said, it's priced lower than the RV-5, has a ton of options, and is a great offering from Boss. If I decide to jump on a shimmer pedal, I think I know where to go. I'm not sure if you can have trails though. I'll check next time I go in. The RV-6 is making me anticipate the DD-500 even more!

Let me know then the DD500 arrives at your GC, is in La Mesa, right?
I have one in preorder but I think it's going to ship in like 2 months...

Re: Anyone tried an RV-6?
That sounds pretty promising. I'll see if my local GC has it and I can mess with it. I actually just got rid of a Blue Sky due to money issues, but I've found that I really don't give a shit about shimmer unless I'm messing around with looping, which I really hardly ever do. Just looking for something deep sounding that doesn't sound like it's coming out of a can. Appreciate the feedback though, and if I pick one up, I'll post my thoughts on it here.
