For what it's worth, I know pretty much nothing about the Tera echo. My comments are all based on knowledge and experience with other boss delays. I'm just assuming that it's really likely they used a similar scheme to execute the stereo aspect of the pedal as the dd7, rather than reinventing the wheel.

You might possibly need a 2nd delay, instead of just one with stereo in/out. Otherwise, seems fine.

Nope, this is the first of the MDP delays. Different architecture and it's a stereo layered effect from top to bottom.misterstomach wrote:For what it's worth, I know pretty much nothing about the Tera echo. It's not a typical delay pedal.

Totally different chip.
It's some proprietary Boss/Roland thing they're using in some of the newer stuff (Adaptive Dist, etc). Multi-dimensional processing is the acronym if I recall.
Does a ton of stuff that the older units can't dream of pulling off.

I dunno, the processing in the Tera probably doesn't have dual mono in mind, but . . .
I could see some bleed, I could see some weird dynamic pull push, but I don't see it seizing up. I could see it sounding bad, good bad, or interesting. It might do some interestingly glitchy things. I say it's worth trying to bedevil the thing's tiny digital brain this way.

Shows what I know. Nothing. Although, since you mention it I do remember reading about MDP somewhere. I think mostly in regards to the adaptive distortion. Digital distortion is an off putting idea to me so I just kind of shrugged it off and didn't think about it. It didn't even occur to me that it was going to be the basis for a bunch of new shit. Digital delay is not off putting to me, so if it opens new doors in that realm, I'm interested. I will say though, I will be massively impressed if it's actually doing full dual mono.rfurtkamp wrote:Totally different chip.

I doubt it is, the same algo is in the GT-001/100 and it's blend stereo wacky. You can't make it run mono if it's running stereo, ie left goes right, right goes left, wee wobble.

I would swap that muff for an Ape Blaster, the TS for a Black Forest and the Tera for a Re-20, but you are winning at life with your ideas there.
I pretty such wanna do the same thing.
So, I love you.
