Isn't this too weak to run two 300 Watt cabs if it were an AH250 anyways? If so, what would I need to add in order to make the cabs shine?

you have two 8ohm outputs. Just plug each speaker into a separate output. I'm pretty sure that model can handle a 4 ohm load in a single outputs for you prefer to daisy chain the cabs. Don't mess with any series wiring, you don't need it.

Loudness can depend on many factors. But your amp isn't too weak to run those speakers, the rating on the speakers is just their maximum RMS power handling before they fart out or risk damage. 280 watts might be loud enough with that much come area, try it and let us know!

One important note about the loudness

Traces are made to be run with the Gain HIGH. It is still clean, but the input has insane headroom. If I remember, the recommended setting for my GP7 is 7-8, which works like a charm.

Another important thing is that if it has the parallel EQ blending, the more you blend in the louder you get. It's a big difference, man

It is weird that a preamp would have outputs with a load, because load only concerns power amps

Yea, that is a power amp. Like Dark Barn said, those trace elliots are weird with the model numbers.

you can't underpower speakers! you can over power them and they can break, but you can't do any harm if you are unable to push them to their power rating.
