Re: TOMKAT PEDALS
And FWIW I find Hermans pretty over-buttered, too. I just always find it funny that these guys are playing these gnarly, fun fuzzes and it sounds like Satch or something.

Nah, don't worry, everybody's entitled to their opinion. Lots of people like Mike Hermans' demos.popvulture wrote:Bah, sorry—didn't mean to put down Kingman, just didn't like the reverb. Sorry if I came off like an arse...
Not saying I always like what Burgs plays, but at least I (personally) can get a better idea of the pedal from his demos.

Re: TOMKAT PEDALS
Yup it is. I personally liked how the pedal sounded at a specific bias so I didn't make it external. Maybe I could make you a special one with external knob.sylnau wrote:Is the trimpot on the Killer board is for bias?
I wish this pedal has a bias knob on top of the enclosure.

Wow, that Bender sounds great!
Any plans or possibilities of making a MKI version?

Re: TOMKAT PEDALS
It took me a while to find a great transistor combo for the MKII. Maybe if I come across a not so noisey set I'll make a MKI version.Tristan wrote:Wow, that Bender sounds great!

Cool, if you do please let me know!

It would be great to get some more of that gated MKI action, it's my favourite of the Tone Bender family.
Your MKII sounds absolutely awesome though.

Thanks! I chose certain gain values to give it a little gating itself.Tristan wrote:Cool, if you do please let me know!![]()

Great looking and sounding pedals
Do you have any original circuits coming? Maybe something utilizing arduino?

Re: TOMKAT PEDALS
I just finished the board design for a reverbish thing I've been working on for a while. I'm gonna try to have the final pedal have a bunch of arduino controlled LEDs that interact with decay of the reverb.Uncle Grandfather wrote:Great looking and sounding pedals![]()

Re: TOMKAT PEDALS
Any chance of doing limited runs of your pedals in custom colors?

Re: TOMKAT PEDALS
I might! Been doing some experimenting with filling the laser etched graphics with paint so I can do different colors combos. I'll post on here first if I ever do.Chankgeez wrote:Any chance of doing limited runs of your pedals in custom colors?
