Yeah in Canada he's a legend. My all-time favourite artist, Stan Rogers, recorded his first album, Fogarty's Cove, in "Danny" Lanois's basement, and later got him to produce the last album before he died, From Fresh Water. The former is incredible and the latter is pretty good (it's just that Rogers was a folk singer and Lanois tried to treat him like a rock singer). Anyways... hard to beat this song. Lanois added the crash cymbals to mimic the sound of the deadly waves Rogers was singing about. Sad as all hell... I feel it in my blood
