The Big Board.

Post by xrleroyx »

Looking for suggestions on signal chain order, and maybe another pedal or two. Gotta fill up that PT-Pro

What I have and in order: (bolded means that I am either trading/selling the pedal soon)
Guitar in-
Korg Pitchblack
SHO Clone
Morley Maverick
Shoe Pedals Robert Fuzz
Devi Ever Hyperion
Mr. Wire Phantom Octave
DBA Fuzz War
INFANEM Driving Notion
Vintage Op Amp Muff
Co Pilot FX Gyroscope
EHX Small Clone
Tap Tremolo (Custom build)
Dr. Scientist ILFDD
Red Panda Context

Am I ordering these right? It's a pretty big (and growing) board, just want to make sure I've got my ducks in a row, especially before I build patch cables this week.

I eventually want to get rid of a few of the fuzz boxes and get a nice OD. Maybe some more modulation or a comp.

I currently run through a Vox AC100 head, but I plan to change that to a SF Fender, either a twin combo or a bassman-like head.

I'd try putting a drive pedal at the end of your chain, adding reverb if you don't get it from your amp, maybe a vibe for other modulation and something like an accountant to take care of both the comp and OD, or an MXR bass compressor and a rat

IME the Particle clips very easily. You'll probably want it before most/all of your volume embiggening pedals.

Try delay before fuzz. It seemed (looked) strange to me at first, but I think it really allows the delay to do its thing better than being post dirt.

Reverb first in the chain?

Just got the Context yesterday, haven't been able to fuck with it a ton yet but it does clip super easy.

Reverb first can be really fucking rad dude. Gets super washed out walls pretty fast.
