i came across this video about the aforementioned BF, in which the guy traces the circuit with an old schematic and discovers why its controls make so little sense: apparently the positions of the LAMP/LED and SQSH/NORM knobs are reversed on the ribbon connector from the circuit board! i already liked my BF a lot, but am dying to test this out soon. check it out:

That's comedy.I think Puretube used to post over on DIYSB ages ago. That tube phaser did indeed look dope.

I had one of those for a while that I bought for $25 because it was nonfunctioning. I can't remember the problem, but I got it going pretty quickly. It's a great sounding pedal, though I don't know if it would fit in most folks' rig very well.
I kind of wish I had it back for recording purposes.

I have the non-tube version, the White Finger. It's an awesome compressor and a great pedal.
