---------

With our community shrinking each year, and my own time being limited, I decided to create some YT playlists for gear.

It takes only a couple seconds to update a playlist, rather than grabbing pics/quotes/product pages and other stuff. I've never had much interest in full-time blogging or vlogging, and with so much stuff to cover (pedals, synths, drum machines, software, oddities, guitars), playlists seem like a better way to share updates.

These will be public lists, so they can be shared with people outside ILF. I really can't be bothered to spend much time on Reddit or Discord. (maybe, though, the playlists could lead to some people migrating over here :idk: )

Anyway, hope everyone's looking forward to a better 2026. :hello:

As new announcements happen, I'll try to create and curate some more lists for other items of potential interest.

(no video for this) Apparently, Dan Coggins is teaming up with Thorpy FX to bring licensed Lovetone pedals back. Will there be significant interest in these? (there are a couple of companies already offering regular batches of the ? Flange and the rest of the Lovetone pedals) It's hard to speculate how many people will pay an extra $100 or so for shrunken Lovetones built by Thorpy. I'm a bit skeptical, that they'll have MIDI or added control features. I imagine they'll just be smaller with the promise of reduced noise or something.

It's nice to have a place to share stuff, even if things are tamer than they used to be.

Playlist has been updated with the newest EHX Pico model and this EQD+Dr. Z collab. (features an EF86 tube, headphone option, and an XLR output)

:hello:

This looks fun. ---1500 ms of stereo-panning, multi-tap delay and under $300. ($280 USD) It's got a desktop editor, too, if you want to tweak bonus features.

I 100% thought it said Laser Delayer.
It should be called Laser Delayser.

Def screams 80s. The Laser would've needed three algos: Tubular Tape, Bodacious BBD, and Dopest Digital. They could've also added a Roller Derby Reverb. Maybe it's a missed opportunity. :idk:

Ultimately, I'm just glad the Dreadbox Hypnosis has a new friend.

Korg debuted the KAOSS 3+ all the way back in 2013, but now they've announced the Pad V ahead of WNAMM. They've updated its features and sounds, but I couldn't find the new banks yet on the Korg site. On the negative side...it's looking like $649 is the advertised price. :(

If you're wondering why the world saw a KAOSS 3, K3+, and now a KAOSS five, that's because the Japanese often avoid four. (4 can be pronounced shi, which is the same sound as their word for death)

The lettering looks to me like this is made for recapturing Roy Ayers magic.

Korg recording interfaces, one with built-in 700s-style analogue filter, both with a filter plugin suite among the included free software:

The 700 one seems more fun that the typical entry-level interfaces without costing prohibitively more, and may have a later life as a standalone filter.

revisiting one of the most influential fuzz circuits of all time: the classic two-transistor of the late 60s commonly known as the Mk 1.5, whose expressive breakup inspired a generation of players.
I'm seeing $150 USD for this silicon fuzz. (sorry in advance to the graphic designers, who can't breathe while seeing how closely they've packed that text together  )

really bad layout! “VOX” and “FUZZ” would fit better in each other’s places.
