"Acoustic electric installed with 2 Seymour Duncan dimebuckers. Sitars are instruments built out of a dried gourd & an entirely hollow neck, meaning that they are very susceptible to heat & humidity. I've spent the last year and a half playing this exact sitar throughout yoga studios; NYC subways; & outside summer events. This sitar has begun to show signs of warping (the small cracks up along the neck between the wood & the decorated white inlay) & in my hands if it continues to get exposed to these environments it probably won't be too long until it warps beyond playability. The sitar definitely has much more life in it though if it is kept in the right environment & can also be played in a large full band setting with no feedback issues. A dimebucker for each set of strings with independent volumes & 1 overall tone pot. It was also dropped & epoxied together to keep it in tact, structurally sound just cosmetic thing. Am only selling because I can use the money more than 3 (soon to be 4) sitars & like I said I'll likely end up warping it beyond repair. Based the price off of the value between all the regular sitar/electric components & I really do think this is fair keeping everything in mind. Comes with a brand new soft case & will give you sitar plectrum too assuming I have one in your size.

Please don't hesitate with any further questions or concerns. Local pickup is much much preferred but if you are really interested I can look into shipping pricing."

So I was trying to find an old post of mine that I still think about in this thread... and realized.. OMG... no joke.. I bought this! I own this sitar LMAO! Lake Hopatcong, NJ! I got it off craigslist though. LMAO. I love this thing! It's the Frankenstein. I'm not sure when that reverb post is from but I got this around February/March 2019.

Posting pictures is a pain in the dick in this site (I have to upload to imgur and shit... and I don't want to do that) otherwise I would post proof. I am literally sitting next to this sitar as we speak. I relocated from Jersey to Denver in the past year and trimmed down my giant instrument fleet.. but this sitar made the cut.

I did pay what he asked for in the reverb price. I initially haggled down to $400... but then I was late for our appointment (we met outside Jefferson Diner in Lake Hopatcong) so I gave him the full amount for being cool. That was a bad day to be honest. I lost a check at work (it was a government check though and only $30 so they resent it), and I thought I was going to be fired... so obviously buying a $500 Sitar that I DID NOT NEED wasn't a prudent move. Everything worked out fine. I went bowling that night. Basically, it pays off to be friendly instead of competent at work... because the HR people that could of reported me acted like a 1940s Union. They were like, "I didn't see nuffin. What? Who? $hark? Nah? I don't know nuffin about nuffin" I told on myself though and my boss could not have gave less of a shit LMAO.

I saw the dude playing in the subway in NYC once too. I thought of approaching him and saying i bought his shitty/frankenstein Sitar. The goard (spelling incorrect) and he used epoxy to patch it.

Check it out! This street can is DENTED! As you can see from the photos the bottom end has been pushed in. The top is fine however, so you can still assemble the head and legs on it. Because of this we are selling it with a stupid low price!

Here it is

the solution to all your Tonebender problems

put this in the chain and the problem is solved

please note the patina- this is real

This is the real thing made by the great Bill Finnigan

This is not artificially aged

there are hack hobby builders out there such as blackstrap electrik who like to artificially age their builds in some hipster attempt to deviate the attention away from their thinly veiled efforts to (poorly)recreate dam and Pigdog builds. Please avoid patchwork filth units from schematic monkeys such as this. Stick with the masters
stick with the original
And always be a connoisseur ;)

https://reverb.com/item/41147811-fender-dual-showman-amp-head-1967-blackface
This amplifier head was bought brand new in 1967 by my cousin, Don (Tudor) Atkins of the Music Explosion. In the summer of 1967, The Music Explosion went on tour with Gene Pitney all summer and Tudor used this amplifier on stages across the USA. In the spring of 1968, The Music Explosion, ("Little Bit O'Soul" million-selling gold record) along with other Super K Productions bands (Ohio Express, 1910 Fruitgum Company, etc.) played Carnegie Hall in New York City. Once again, my cousin Tudor Atkins used this amplifier on stage. Sadly, he was drafted shortly after that and the amplifier has had very little use since. He passed away in 1999 and I ended up with this amp head. I've tuned it up and had it worked on and it checks out and plays wonderfully. Many years ago, the tremolo channel circuit was changed over to give more presence control. That is the only modification from the original. This amp is in very, very good condition for its age and has a story to tell! It really ROCKS! I am located in Mansfield, Ohio, the home of the Music Explosion. The modifications on the amp ARE reversible. To go back to the original, the amp would need a new eyelet board and components that complete that circuit.

You are buying a cotton swab that has been DNA swabbed against a genuine 1951 Tadeo Gomez date stamp. Grow your own mythological neck carving master craftsman at home. I will include a photo of the swabbing as part of the sale.

EDIT - not guaranteed to contain Tadeo's actual DNA...only our best effort to capture it from his 1951 marking

Not sure what’s better, that this guy is selling Music itself or that it seems to be in the form of a Cox Compressor.
