Any suggestion for an inexpensive eurorack distortion/fuzz that sounds great? I've stumbled upon this channel which is fucking awesome, love is krautrock videos, the fuzzy bass here sounds so good but he has an insane system. Would like something that can sound like this on a budget

Been looking at the doepfer a-189-1, recovery fx bad comrade, NE kit ruina... Also a phaser might be needed in the future.. :excellent:

A pedal i/o and your favorite pedal dirt. :P

I have a Ritual fx guillotine that I like, but it can be a little too heavy for what I was going for so I'm going to flip it soon.

Now, give me something like a euro ssbs fuck with CV over the crackle and then we can talk. :snax:

Haha indeed that would be awesome. Good suggestion but I don't have much desktop space and would probebly get tired of unplugging pedals from my board and plugging it back for guitar etc...

I also saw some vca or filter that overdrives like the a-127 for example... That could be cool too... :snax: :idk:

I have a filter that drives and a VCA that drives (4 of) - it's a good sound! Driving filters is great. Sometimes I want a guillotine for heavier stuff though.

Got an ornament and crime in yesterday woooo! :!!!: I overlooked this thing for the longest time because it's "too complicated" but it turns out it's... not?

O&C is indeed not too complicated, especially if you use the Hemisphere firmware. There is now a new Hemisphere branch with new very useful apps https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewt ... p?t=233572

I will probably try Hemisphere firmware at some point but for now I'm just going to really get to know a couple of modes in the normal firmware. :thumb: saved this in bookmarks for the future, thanks. :)

lol. at least for me, it was an Overall Modular Comfort Level thing? grabbing one a few months ago vs a couple years ago, SO much less overwhelming just from understanding what each mode does just by it's parameters.

the Hemispheres is even more intuitive, and soooooo good as a multiple utility box.

Yeah that is perhaps it, if I got it early into modular I'd be like what. Now I'm just looking at Copiermaschine and Quantermain vs the other quantiser/ASR/CV looper devices I was looking at. And like, it's probably easier to use and does more. And is cheaper. So yeah it's in comparison to other moderately complex stuff to do these specific things that it shines, I think you need to NEED the functions to get into stuff like this maybe? :idk: Probably just spinning a web of bullshit here

Been looking at O_c for a couple of weeks now. Thought I could use it as a dual adsr in a small format (and can do other things when I want). Still want one but now that I know my system is just gonna expand endlessly I kinda want more traditional adsr modules even if they take more place. Like a doepfer quad adsr and quad ad. This isvisible isinvisible guy on youtube really gave me a Doepfer and livewire GAS

Yeah I still think if you just want ADSR and you know you want it, getting that is probably better? IDK. Doepfer stuff is rock solid so I won't put you off that! Buuuut in terms of feature/size if you don't mind swapping modes occasionally o_c seems great.

Went ahead and ordered a doepfer a106-1 xtreme filter. I already have the Zzzorb for more traditional stuff, this one looks like quite a wild one. Next up, envelopes!

Yeah I was looking at this one, the a-127 and some others but the doepfer descriptions and some comments on muff sealed it for me. Also it was quite cheap on the juno website (hopefully customs aren't too expensive). Not everyone seems to like it but those who does seems to really love it. Looks really wild :)

Great info here vidret :thumb:

I really have to stop buying for a few weeks at least. If my goddamn ordered modules and other stuff (case+keystep) could show their face so I at least can learn them meanwhile. The Rossum MOE will probably be the one I struggle the most understanding but it looks really flexible :) Can't wait to see what I can and can't do with it

Just ordered a Meng Qi Wingie in his scratch and dent sale. Literally didn't know it existed before now, but the price was right :idk:
