85-137 dollars to ship 5lbs to canada. really? fuck you. usps did it for less than 30, and even that feels like fucking highway robbery.

They wanted something like $700 to do that.

i had to ship a rack mount power amp to poland.
guy wanted me to use FEDEX
the shipping quote i got from FEDEX (for a 40 pound box, 2 space 19" rackmount power amp) was $760
i told the guy for $760, i could get a roundtrip ticket to Poland, and bring the amp with me as luggage
UPS is just as bad.......
US Postal service is usually the most cost effective solution to international shipping, from my experience

Whenever I'm browsing eBay and a seller ships "UPS only", I don't even bother looking. Fucking ripoff merchants.

seriously, that's ridiculous. i sent a 9lb typewriter to stanimal a couple of weeks ago and it cost me $20. Use USPS, not UPS or FedEx.

are the charges different to and from certain countries? that could explain it.
also, as a disclaimer: it is a pleasure dealing with elbandito, and i would do it again. i have nothing against him, or canada.
